Fall Food Events

Whether you’re celebrating harvest season and California’s deep agricultural and viticultural roots, snacking on Halloween treats, or enjoying Oktoberfest offerings, fall is a special time of year for foodies. While there are plenty of cuisine-centric happenings throughout the year, but you won’t want to miss these upcoming fall foodie events. 

Forkful

This Fall, Downtown Pleasanton’s Main Street will be closed for easy pedestrian access and restaurants are coming together to showcase their favorite “forkful” of food. This is a perfect bite, not a full serving. You will receive a commemorative fork to use throughout the evening and a program with a list of locations and food served. 

Fall Rock & Stroll

Eat, drink and shop at this fun wine stroll located throughout Downtown Danville. Local businesses will feature small bites, boutique wineries, and special discounts. Enjoy live music and free trolley rides from the Danville Livery to Downtown Danville’s Hartz Avenue.

Danville Brewing Siebenfest

Celebrate Oktoberfest and Danville Brewing Company’s 7th anniversary at this year’s “Siebenfest”! Enjoy schnitzel and brats while celebrating the release of their Oktoberspaß. Four additional beers will also be on tap: Danville Pils (German pilsner), Station 31 (German smoked helles), Schwarzbier (German dark lager) and Franziskaner Hefeweizen (German hefeweizen). A special fest mug will also be available for purchase.

Tap 25 Oktoberfest

Put on your lederhosen and head to Tap25 in Downtown Livermore to celebrate Oktoberfest with live music, German food, and beer! Wingden Bakery will be serving up sourdough pretzels, abendbrot, and bratwurst for purchase, while local food trucks will be featuring German food specials both Friday and Saturday. 

Witches Night Out

This popular event requires its attendees to dress up in their best witch outfit for a night of shopping, dining & drinks. Enjoy fun photo opportunities with your friends, enter to win the coveted witches hat contest, and receive special deals to participating shops throughout Downtown Livermore. Participating restaurants will also be serving fun, themed specialty cocktails for you and your witchy crew.

Taste of Africa

Cheza Nami Foundation, proudly presents the 11th annual Taste of Africa Festival in Livermore. Taste of Africa is a free, outdoor festival showcasing musical and dance performances by local African and African diaspora artists, art exhibits, food, African marketplace, a community art project and a kidzone with a reading corner, crafts and interactive instrument exploration.

Shadow Puppet Brewing Company Oktoberfest

Strap on your lederhosen & come out to enjoy 5 German beers. Enter in a Stein Holding Competition or Oktoberfest Costume Contest (both at 4pm) for a chance to win a brewery membership. Tickets include a custom 19.5oz over-sized commemorative stein & your first two beers. Additional beers in your big stein are only $4. German food by Ominous Catering will be available for purchase.

SideTrack Bar + Grill Oktoberfest

Don’t miss SideTrack Bar + Grill’s 3rd annual Oktoberfest, bringing German food, drink & entertainment to Downtown Pleasanton. The restaurant’s parking lot transforms into a tented Oktoberfest destination with stage for traditional live music each evening and a walk-up bar offering German food and drink.

Taste: Livermore Valley Wine Experience

Livermore Valley Wine Country’s annual food and wine affair spans four delectable days, and is kicked off by the ever popular Taste our Terroir competition. Located at Bella Rosa Event Center at Garré Vineyard on Thursday, October 19th, Taste Our Terroir brings together local restaurants and wineries who team up to offer the best food and wine pairing. Weekend events include a variety of wine-centric events from electric bike tours to intimate wine-tasting dinners at local wineries with award-winning wines and winemakers.

Hallo-Wine Trolley Tour

Don you Halloween costume and make your way to Downtown Livermore’s Rebel Kitchen for a complimentary pour of sparkling before boarding the Hallo-Wine Trolley. Costumed drivers will play spooky music on the way to an adult version of trick or treating at Wood Family Vineyards and Del Valle Wineries. Enjoy a complimentary 4 oz. glass of wine at each, plus discounts on wine bottle purchases to accompany dinner delights available for purchase from the new Del Valle Cafe and Marty’s Joint Food Truck at Wood Family.
