Tri-Valley Halloween Guide

Haunted houses, ghost walks, beer crawls, and corn mazes – it’s finally Halloween! Check out the tricks and treats that the Tri-Valley has in store for us this year, below: 

Pirates of Emerson

OCTOBER 1-31 | ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Pirates of Emerson Haunted Themed Park for 2018 is a not be missed event. Truly frightful and not suitable for children under 14. Admission includes FIVE Haunted Attractions plus extra events, like Clown Chaos and MisFortune Teller. 

Ghosts of Dublin Flashlight Tour

Friday october 19 & 26, 7pm-11:30pm | Dublin heritage park

Take a flashlight tour through the Dublin’s historic Pioneer Cemetery, where Dublin’s buried past comes alive. Hear haunting stories of ghosts thought to be lurking in Dublin, including reports of recent findings by local paranormal researchers. Cemetery tours are recommended for ages 8 and up.

Pleasanton's Ghost Walk

OCT 19, 20, 26 & 27 | MUSEUM ON MAIN
Meet the ghosts of Pleasanton’s past in this uniquely spooky annual event held by Museum on Main.  Ghost Walk is a two hour guided tour of Pleasanton’s most haunted sites along Main Street in the downtown area…and you never know what spirits you might encounter along the way!  

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

OCTOBER 1-31 | Throughout the Tri-Valley

Joan’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch in Livermore features plenty of playgrounds for kids, farm-themed photo ops, a fort maze, and pony rides on the weekend. They’re open from October 1-31 from 9am-6pm everyday. 

If you’d rather tackle a corn maze with your friends, head to G&M Farms in Livermore. Once you find your way out, check out their cow train, pony rides, straw bale maze, corn box, pedal carts, barnyard blasters or jumping pillows. 

Halloween Scavenger Hunt

SaturdaY OCTOBER 20, 10am-12pm | DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON
Calling all little ghouls, witches, princesses and super heroes to downtown Pleasanton. Children 10 years old and younger are invited to come in costume and pick up instructions from the starting location outside of the Museum on Main at 603 Main Street. Children will have to solve a clue in order to find the next downtown location, where they will be given a small goodie or treat. Parents will be given the clue and answer sheet to help their tiny scavengers along the way.

Floating Pumpkin Patch

SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 1pm-4pm | the dublin wave

Have you ever seen a floating pumpkin patch? Head down to the City of Dublin’s Floating Pumpkin Patch to pick out your preferred pumpkin. Entry fee includes one regular-size pumpkin, decorating materials, and entry into Recreation Swimming. Pre-registration is required by October 23 to receive a pumpkin. Recommended for ages 3 years and older.

That Old Blackhawk Magic

SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 9PM-1:30AM | Blackhawk Museum

The Blackhawk Museum is hosting their 17th Halloween Bash, featuring DJ Chris Clouse, live music on the plaza by The Breakfast Klub, several no host bars and food for purchase by Scott’s Seafood. 

Halloween Brew Crawl

SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 5PM-8PM | DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON
Trick or Treating isn’t only for kids, adults can have their fun too! Stroll (or crawl) through beautiful Downtown Pleasanton and sip on craft brews, ciders and mead while enjoying tasty bites along the way at 30+ downtown locations!  

Halloween Bash & Ghouling Pianos

SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 8:30PM - 1:30AM | DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON

The most frightfully fun night of the year is here and we’re just dying for this Halloween bash. Tricks, treats, and eats abound at McGah’s annual Halloween party, the East Bay’s most spectacular spookfest. Join McGah’s for their famous ghouling pianos, costume contests, games, specialty cocktails and more!
