Haunted houses, creepy corn mazes and boozy beer crawls – it’s finally Halloween in the Tri-Valley! We’ve put together a list of family-fun festivities along with spine-tingling spooks happening this Halloween in our area. Check out what tricks and treats the Tri-Valley has in store for us below. G&M Farms | October 1st – 30th

Featured on the David Letterman show twice, G&M Farms is a Tri-Valley staple every fall. Take a chance at finding your way through their corn maze. If you manage to find your way out, check out their cow train, pony rides, straw bale maze, corn box, pedal carts, barnyard blasters or jumping pillows. For those looking for a truly frightening experience, don’t miss their Haunted Corn Maze on October 19th & 26th.
Joan’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch | October 1st -31st
This local pumpkin patch just minutes from Livermore Valley Wine Country features several fall and farm-themed attractions for the entire family. Walk through their fields of pumpkins or check out the various playgrounds for kids, cute photo ops, hay rides, a kids train, and pony rides on the weekend. Luckily for visitors and residents alike, they’re open from October 1-31 from 9am-5:30pm everyday.
The Pirates of Emerson Haunted Themed Park returns to the Tri-Valley for another blood-chilling year of haunted attractions, frightening entertainers and live performances. It’s so scary that children under the age of 14 are not encouraged to participate! Enjoy five haunted attractions included with the price of admission.
Alameda County Fairgrounds | October 18th-19th, 25th-26th
Each year around Halloween thousands of visitors flock to Downtown Pleasanton to participate in their annual Ghost Walk. Learn all about the haunting history of Downtown Pleasanton including local ghost stories and odd paranormal activity! This event is great for families and sells out each year, so get your tickets soon. Costumes are encouraged!
Livermore Valley Wine Country | October 25th & 26th at 6:00pm
Who said Halloween was just for kids? Hop on board the spooktacular Livermore Wine Trolley and be shuttled to 3 award-winning wineries with you and your ghouly friends! Enjoy a night of “trick or treating” for a full flight of wine tasting and delightful treats for your sweet tooth! Dawn your scariest get-up, there will be a costume contest!
Dublin Heritage Parks & Museums | October 25th & 26th

This local tour feels like a real life stint with the Ghostbusters. Take a flashlight tour through the Dublin Historic Cemetery, where Dublin’s buried past comes alive. Hear haunting stories of ghosts thought to be lurking in Dublin, including news of recent sightings. Fortify yourself with popcorn and hot cider and stock up handmade gifts for your favorite trick-or-treaters in Bill’s Workshop. Event is recommended for ages 8 and up.
Downtown Pleasanton | October 26th 5pm-8pm

The home of fun annual wine, beer, and cocktail crawls, Downtown Pleasanton’s Halloween Brew Crawl does not disappoint. Stroll (or crawl) through Downtown Pleasanton and sip on craft brews, ciders, and mead while enjoying tasty bites along the way at 30+ downtown locations! This event is regularly attended by beer-lovers every year, so make sure to get your tickets before they’re sold out!
Danville Livery | October 27th 12pm-3pm
Grab the kids and their costumes and head to the Danville Livery for a fun afternoon of horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin carving demonstrations, balloon art, reptile exhibits, and live music at this easily accessible shopping center near Downtown Danville. The 14th annual Pumpkin Jubilee features plenty of family fun, plus trick-or-treating at participating stops throughout the premises.
