There’s a fun and retro new way to experience the local wine country: the Livermore Wine Trolley. In addition to providing a unique and safe ride for tasting-room-hopping patrons, creator Brian Luke, a first-time business owner, is an advocate for the region by promoting local wineries and keying in out-of-towners on the local scene.
“I wanted to make that connection between the wineries and downtown Livermore,” Luke says. “They both offer so much to the community.”
The trolley hits four wineries and ends with a ride through downtown Livermore—all the while blasting tunes and encouraging group sing-alongs.
The trolley runs Fridays through Sundays; tours go from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with lunch included, and cost about $100 per person. Private charters for everything from bachelorette parties to corporate events can be customized and are available by request.
