Erma Bombeck captured with poignancy and humor the ups and downs of a new American phenomenon: the suburban housewife. She brought to American awareness the struggles of women whose lives otherwise felt invisible and taken for granted. The beloved author and columnist will be portrayed by Chautauqua scholar Susan Marie Frontczak.
The name Erma Bombeck is synonymous with humor and the plight of the suburban housewife. Museum on Main in Pleasanton welcomes Chautauquan Susan Marie Frontczak, as the famous author in “An Afternoon or Evening with… Erma Bombeck” at the Firehouse Arts Center on Tuesday, July 19th at 2pm and 7pm. For those not interested in attending the live show, there is also a virtual viewing of the live performance on July 26th using the webinar platform BigMarker.
