With a style that is a mix of Hawaiian, pop, rock, Latin and a little bit of jazz, Andrew Molina is forging his own musical path on the islands. A third-generation member of Maui’s musical Molina family, Andrew never saw himself following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps until he picked up the ukulele at the age of 13. At a concert, he was inspired by the remarkable talents of Jake Shimabukuro, and never looked back. Jake has since become a mentor and friend, and Andrew was honored to be named to Ukulele Magazine’s “The Next Jake” list in 2015.
