Pleasanton Indian Community in collaboration with Sewa International, Bay Area Chapter is inviting you to join and celebrate Diwali in Downtown Pleasanton.
The word ‘Diwali’ derives from Sanskrit and means “a row of lights.” Festivities include the illumination of lights, candles, and diya (clay lamps) to symbolize the victory of good over evil, inner light over spiritual darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is a time for gathering with the community, celebrating life, and committing to making the right decisions in life.
Pleasanton Dignitaries will be lighting the diyas in front of Museum on Main followed by fun and dance on the main street.
Send us the details and we’ll add it to the Tri-Valley Events calendar.
