Hot Fun in the Summertime!
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Jerry Martini and Greg Errico, together with Phunne Stone – the daughter of Sly Stone and Cynthia Robinson – Swang Stewart, Blaise Sison, Nate Wingfield, and Jimmy Mckinney celebrate the chart-topping hits of Sly & The Family Stone. The first inter-racial, inter-gender, mainstream major band in Rock and Roll history, The Family Stone’s infectious high-energy combination of funk and soul has earned dedicated fans for generations. In 2015, their album “STAND” was induced into the Grammy Hall of Fame, declared a National Treasure, and preserved in the Library of Congress. With such legendary anthems as “I Want to Take You Higher,” “Everyday People,” “Dance To The Music,“ “Family Affair,“ “Sing a Simple Song,“ and many other favorite tunes, The Family Stone is sure to deliver a night of “Hot Fun in the Summertime!”
“Each song flowed into the next, with lively instrumentation that perfectly blended funk, rock and roll, disco and psychedelic soul.”
“An evening of love, peace and social consciousness. The show was sheer funky fun throughout. A groovy time was had by all.”
