The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. This play may have some mature themes and minor language.

Dublin Harvest Fair

Dublin Heritage Park and Museums' annual Harvest Fair is an afternoon of old-fashioned fall fun with lively bluegrass music and farm activities. Visitors can take a tractor-drawn wagon ride, play in the hay, and help harvest vegetables in the farm yard. Children can try churning butter, peeling apples, scrubbing laundry with a washboard and panning for gold. Farm vendors sell arts and crafts and favorite fall foods.
