On Monday, March 16th, Mayor London Breed announced that the County of San Francisco has issued a Public Health Order stating that beginning on Tuesday, March 17th, residents in San Francisco County and surrounding counties (including Contra Costa County & Alameda County) are required to remain at home until the tentative date of April 7th.
During this time Bay Area residents are welcome to visit outdoor recreation spaces so long as they adhere to CDC social distancing recommendations to stay 6ft away from other people that they do not already live with. While all visitor centers, rental facilities, outdoor programs and some main access gates have been closed or cancelled, we are fortunate that open space and trails remain open for the time being. We’ve put together some of our favorite spots to soak up the sun and breathe some fresh air below.
We are confident that residents in the Tri-Valley will abide by the mandated restrictions set in place by our local authorities to help lessen the impact and spread of the coronavirus in our communities. Please remember to keep at least 6ft distance between you and another person, even if you know them.
