With several local events happening throughout St. Patrick’s Day weekend, it’s the perfect place to get into some shenanigans! We picked out the best St. Patrick’s Day happenings on this side of the rainbow, from bagpipe performances to Irish Car Bombs. Check out our St. Patrick’s Day line up below.
Celebrate Concannon Vineyard’s deep-rooted Irish heritage and its historic founder, James Concannon, with their award-winning wines. A special flight will be featured in their historic Wine Library accompanied by the “Irish Ploughman’s Cheese Board.” This traditional ploughman’s platter includes Irish cheeses, meats, soda bread, and other condiments expertly selected by their estate Sommelier.
The City of Dublin, California goes all out for St. Patrick’s Day, welcoming visitors from all over the world to celebrate its Irish roots. Their two-day St. Patrick’s Day Festival at the Dublin Civic Center is one of the biggest on the West Coast, drawing as many as 80,000 people to enjoy Irish entertainment, festival rides, authentic Irish foods and beverages, shopping at 200+ vendors booths, and even a pop-up Irish tea cottage.
Stop by BottleTaps for a delicious combination of traditional Irish delicacies and authentic Irish brews. Enjoy corned beef & cabbage and corned beef sliders made by Chef Patrick, and do a little jig to Fred McCarty’s “Vision of Ireland” performance from 3pm-6pm. Line up along the streets of Downtown Dublin for the 36th Annual Dublin Lions Club St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This festive procession of bagpipes, community members, and decked out floats will wind through the streets of Downtown Dublin and end near Dublin’s Civic Center Park. After the parade, head over to the festival located at the park just a short walk away.
Visit Rios Lovell Winery this St. Patrick’s Day for traditional corned beef, cabbage, and red potatoes with some wine on the side.
