From lively parades to family-friendly activities, the Tri-Valley offers many ways to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade
Thursday, July 4th, 2024 The Parade will take place along Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard from approximately 9am to noon, starting at San Ramon Valley High School at Railroad Avenue and ending at Town and Country Drive. The parade can be seen from either side of the street and there is always plenty of room for everyone!
Family-Friendly Fourth of July Celebrations in Livermore

The City of Livermore and Livermore Area Recreation and Park District are introducing a new daytime celebration for the community. Join the fun at Livermore Municipal Airport from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for live music from The Groove Objective, a culinary experience by Amuse Kitchen, aircraft displays, remote-control aircraft demonstrations, and hands-on science activities for kids from Quest Science Center.
Independence Day Dash
Start your day with a 5K and Kids’ Fun Run at Sycamore Grove Park. The 5K begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by the Kids’ Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. Register and learn more at LARPD Independence Day Dash.
Spend July 4th at the Alameda County Fair, open from noon to 8 p.m. Enjoy rides, entertainment, horse racing, and end the day with a Movie on the Lawn. Please note that a Chaperone Policy is in place, and parking lots close at 3 p.m.
Hours: Noon – 8 p.m. (admission gates close at 4 p.m., parking closes at 3 p.m.)
Carnival Hours: 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Horse Racing: Live Racing on the 4th
Family Day: Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 21 and over
In Dublin, the Fourth of July is celebrated with Safe and Sane Fireworks, ensuring a fun and safe holiday for everyone.
Safe and Sane Fireworks Usage The use of Safe and Sane Fireworks is permitted at single-family residences and at four local parks: Shannon Park, Dublin Sports Grounds, Alamo Creek Park, and Emerald Glen Park, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 4. Fireworks are not allowed at multi-housing units, undesignated parks, city facilities, businesses, or schools.
Safe and Sane Fireworks can be purchased from approved non-profit organizations in Dublin. The city strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy for illegal fireworks, with severe penalties for violations. For more information, contact Dublin Fire Prevention Staff at 925-833-6606.
