1. Ride east on Second Street toward S Livermore Avenue.
2. Turn right onto S Livermore Avenue.
3. Turn left onto East Avenue.
4. Arrive at Centennial Light Bulb on the left.

The Centennial Bulb is the world’s longest burning light bulb! The bulb was first installed in 1901 at the fire department hose cart house. Today it shines at Fire Station 6 in Livermore where it holds the Guinness World Record for the longest burning light bulb.

1. Head east on East Avenue toward Loyola Way.
2. Turn right onto S Vasco Road.
3. Arrive at Nottingham Cellars on the right.

 

Nottingham Cellars

Nottingham Cellars has been a staple of Livermore Valley wines since 2009. The vineyard is known for its limited production Bordeaux and Rhone-style varieties. Visit their newly renovated tasting room where you can sample wines and learn about the history of the area. Ride from Nottingham Cellars to Concannon Vineyard
(2.1 miles, about 13 minutes)

1. Ride south on S Vasco Road toward Research Drive.
2.Turn right onto Welch Lane.
3. At the intersection with Elston Street, bear left to ride onto the Bruno Canziani Neighborhood Park path.
4. Follow the park path as it curves to the left.
5. Cross Charlotte Way onto Calvary Lane.

 

Concannon Vineyard

Concannon Vineyard has been a mainstay of California wines since 1883. Concannon introduced America’s First Petite Sirah in 1961, and four generations of winemakers have built a reputation for signature wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Grenache. 1. Ride east on Tesla Road.
2. Turn right onto Greenville Road.
3. Arrive at McGrail Vineyards and Winery on the left.

Enjoy the rustic, intimate environment at McGrail Vineyards and Winery. Experience the tasting room experience and spend some time in the scenic picnic area for a break, a game of bocce, and a snack. (9.1 miles, about 55 minutes)

1. Ride north on Greenville Road.
2. Turn left onto Tesla Road.
3. After the intersection with Mines Road, cross onto the shared use path that parallels Tesla Road.
4. Curve to the right and continue riding along Livermore Avenue.
5. Turn left to ride along Concannon Blvd.
6. Turn left onto Isabel Avenue.
7. Turn right onto Vineyard Avenue.
8. Arrive at Rubino Estates Winery on your left.

 

Rubino Estates Winery

Rubino Estates Winery specializes in Italian varietals like Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Trebbiano. Taste the award-winning wines and take in the history of the grounds – Rubino Estates Winery sits on the same vineyard estate as one of the original Livermore Valley wineries, Ruby Hill Winery, which opened in 1887. Ride from Campo Di Bocce to Wente Vineyards and Lake Del Valle via Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail
(4.1 miles, about 24 minutes)

1. Turn right to ride southeast on E Vineyard Avenue.
2. Turn left onto Vallecitos Road.
3. Turn right onto Wetmore Road.
4. Turn right at the Sycamore Grove Park to access the Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail.
5. Ride south on the Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail.
6. At the fork, turn left to stay on Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail.
7. After crossing over Veterans Road, curve to the left toward Arroyo Road.
8. Cross Arroyo Road to arrive at Wente Vineyards.

 

Wente Vineyards

Wente Family Estates is the oldest continuously operated family-owned winery in the country. This Livermore Valley classic has been a part of the wine region since 1883. You can taste the wines here any day, but if you stop by on a weekend they’ll often have live music and gourmet food trucks on site as well. Del Valle Regional Park
5229 Arroyo Road

If you find yourself with an extra hour or two of daylight, make your way to Del Valle Regional Park and beautiful Lake Del Valle. From the parking area, ride onto the Shore Trail to wind over the lakeside hills to beautiful vista views of the lake. Be ready for an uphill climb – but the view is well worth the uphill pedaling! If you need to, simply walk your bike on the inclines.

Ride back to Downtown Livermore
(4.3 miles, about 26 minutes)

1. Turn right to ride northeast on Arroyo Road.
2. Continue onto S L Street.
3. Turn right onto First Street to arrive in Downtown Livermore.
