Location: Livermore
7000 Del Valle Road Livermore, CA 94550

Del Valle Regional Park is a haven for nature enthusiasts, offering a plethora of outdoor activities. Although remote, this park featuring a 5-mile long lake and 16 miles of shoreline is located just 10 miles south of Livermore.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own water vessels or rent boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards or pontoons from the marina. Two sandy beaches are located on both the east and west sides of the park. For land adventures, the park features an extensive trail network suitable for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Each spring, Del Valle Regional Park erupts in color as its rolling hills are carpeted by wildflowers. View our Wildflower Guide before planning your next springtime visit.

Every fall, the park becomes home to a unique natural spectacle, tarantula mating season. These eight-legged creatures are completely harmless, but a bit creepy.

Additionally, as an access point to the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, the park serves as a gateway for more extensive and challenging hikes and backpacking adventures.
