Make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and multiple layers of clothing. If you are planning a long hike, run, walk, bicycle ride or horseback ride please bring plenty of water to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
You read that right. Each year between August and October, visitors to Mount Diablo State Park may witness young tarantulas coming out of hiding to find a mate. Please be careful to not harm tarantulas when driving and hiking during this time.
