Travel Itineraries

Welcome to the Tri-Valley! Whether you’re here for the night or the whole weekend, there’s plenty to do. From delicious wine tastings to unbelievable hiking views, we’ve got you covered.

2-Day Tri-Valley Sampler

Friday Night:
Rush hour traffic got you down? Don’t worry; dinner will cheer you up in no time! Spend your first evening eating authentic American comfort food at Sauced BBQ & Spirits in Livermore. Try the Pulled Pork and Jalapeño Grits accompanied by one of their Peach Mules. You’ll sleep like a baby.

Saturday:
Start your day off right at Denica’s Real Food Kitchen in Dublin. This family friendly restaurant makes everything from scratch, including freshly baked cookies that will be sure to have you coming back for more.

After fueling up, head over to Dublin Hills Regional Park. The Calaveras Ridge Trail will take you to vast grasslands that have remained untouched for over 200 years. It’s invigorating and peaceful at the same time.

Reward yourself with some very affordable retail therapy at the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore. Shopping makes everyone hungry, so grab a light lunch at Demitri’s Taverna—the village salad always hits the spot.

If you prefer shopping on a smaller scale, skip the Outlets and head over to downtown Danville. Hartz Avenue is a great place to spend the afternoon, with shops ranging from Anthropologie to boutiques like Francesca’s Collections. Danville Harvest is a good option for a quick lunch nearby. All their food is sourced with fresh, organic ingredients.

“Wine” down and go wine tasting at Ruby Hill winery in Pleasanton. Their history is almost as rich as their wine! If wine isn’t your thing, check out one of the Tri-Valley’s famous craft breweries. Beer Baron is in both Pleasanton and Livermore, priding themselves on their passion for beer, cocktails, food, and music—you’re sure to have a good time.

Pre-dinner drinks got you hungry? Head over to Ascona Pizza Company in Pleasanton. This family-owned pizzeria uses a secret family recipe to hand-make their dough, and better than that, it’s made daily. What more can you ask for?

Sunday:
Sideboard Neighborhood Kitchen and Coffee Bar in Danville is a great brunch spot for your last day in the Tri-Valley. They locally source all their ingredients and even have a trendy coffee bar where folks sip artisan coffee and sometimes even “talk about how to save the world.”

The Blackhawk Museums in Danville is always fun and educational. They showcase a few interesting exhibitions to choose from—the Spirt of the Old West, Art of Africa, or the Automotive Gallery. If you’re there the first Sunday of the month, the museum turns into a cool hangout where motor enthusiasts can showcase their cars.

Even though it’s Sunday, the relaxing doesn’t have to be over yet! If you’re not a museum-goer, enjoy a lush spa day instead. The Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa in Livermore offers soothing spa packages and body treatments you won’t be able to resist.

Before heading home, grab a bite at Simply Fondue in Livermore. There isn’t a better location than Wine Country to satisfy all your cheese and wine cravings. With an ample wine list and quality ingredients, you’ll be in good hands.
